Biography of Pierce Brosnan
Pierce Brendan Brosnan is an Irish actor and film director. He is known as the fifth actor to play secret agent James Bond in the Bond film.
Pierce Brosnan was born on 16th May 1953 in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, Ireland. His father left home after he was born, and was raised by relatives after his mother also left to work in England.
He is the only child of his parents. His parents are May Smith and Thomas Brosnan. Pierce was named after his grandfather Pierce Brosnan, who in turn was also named after his parents.
Pierce Brosnan attended Scoil Mhuire, Abbey Road, Navan. When he was four years old, his mother moved to London to work and from that stage, he was brought up by his maternal grandparents.
After the death of his grandparents, he went on to stay with his aunt and then later with an uncle. Subsequently, he was sent to live in a boarding house.
Pierce left high school at the age of 16 and began training in commercial illustration and went on to attend the Dream Center in London for three years.

Pierce Brosnan has married been married twice, been widowed once. Pierce first met his wife, Cassandra Harris who was an Australian actress shortly after leaving drama school. They began dating and got married in December 1980. They had a son together in 1983.
His wife became seriously ill in 1987 and was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Harris later died on 28 December 1991 when she was 43 years old.
In 1994, Brosnan met an American journalist by the name of Keely Shaye Smith in Mexico. They later got married in 2001 in Ballintubber Abbey in Ireland. They have two sons together named Dylan and Paris.
