Legendary Nigerian musician Wizkid recently revealed some of his current favorite artists through a post on his Instagram story. He highlighted emerging Nigerian acts Rema, Asake, Odumodublvck, Bloody Civilian, and Shallipopi as artists he is particularly enjoying at the moment.
In the social media post, Wizkid referred to the quintet as “superstars” and gave a special shoutout to Shallipopi, saying he would enthusiastically dance to the artist’s songs no matter what.
The multiple award-winning Afropop star has one of the biggest fanbases in African music after over a decade of hits. He recently hinted at taking a 5-year break from releasing new music, despite having built his life around his music career for years.
In the meantime, Wizkid encouraged fans to focus on their well-being and quality time with loved ones. He teased an upcoming new album, stating he has recorded enough unreleased music to retire if he wished.
