Akua Crowned Winner Of Miss Tourism Ghana 2024

The grand finale of the 2024 Miss Tourism Ghana beauty pageant took center stage at the National Theatre in Accra on Friday, September 20, showcasing a dazzling display of Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential.

Eight finalists from different regions across Ghana vied for the prestigious title. The contestants included Ese (Agbolosu Mawuse Abla) from the Eastern Region, Elvi (Emmanuella Owusuaa Wiredu) from the Volta Region, Nana (Lawrencia Ama Yeboah) from the Savannah Region, Dzifa (Deborah Dzifa Amezah) from the Greater Accra Region, Rica (Akoto Erica) from the Ahafo Region, Ama (Gloria Kwarteng) from the Northern Region, Akua (Portia Mensah) from the Upper East Region, and Kiss (Stephanie Owiredua Kissi) from the Western Region.

The finalists participated in various pre-final events, including Talent Night, Culture Night, Read Ghana Night, and Fashion Night, which formed part of the judging process. These events allowed the contestants to showcase their diverse skills, creativity, and understanding of Ghana’s cultural and tourism landscape.

Winner of Miss Tourism Ghana 2024

After a highly competitive and thrilling finale, Akua (Portia Mensah) from the Upper East Region emerged as the winner of Miss Tourism Ghana 2024. Nana (Lawrencia Ama Yeboah) from the Savannah Region was crowned the first runner-up. In contrast, Kiss (Stephanie Owiredua Kissi) from the Western Region took home the title of second runner-up.

Organized by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), the 2024 Miss Tourism Ghana finale was attended by notable personalities, including former Miss Tourism Ghana contestants and key dignitaries such as Kakra Kofi Atta Kusi, the Deputy Director of Domestic Marketing at the GTA.

This year’s pageant celebrated beauty and grace and highlighted Ghana’s tourism potential, encouraging more people to explore the country’s rich cultural history.
