Full 2025 AFCON Qualifiers Draw and Dates Announced. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducted the draw for the group stages of the qualifiers for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Thursday, July 4, 2024.

How many teams qualify for AFCON 2025?

The draw, held in anticipation of the tournament set to be hosted in Morocco, revealed the competitive journey ahead for 48 teams, which were divided into twelve groups.

Group G: Defending Champions Ivory Coast

Defending champions Ivory Coast have been drawn into Group G, where they will face Zambia, Sierra Leone, and Chad. The Ivory Coast team, which clinched the title in the previous AFCON tournament, is aiming to secure a spot in Morocco and defend their championship.
