The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central constituency has provided justifications to his stance, regarding his comments which sought to urge on individuals in purchasing more of the foreign currency to engage in trading.

These comments made by the Ranking Member of Finance and a the Legislator for Bolga Central had caught the attention of the Minister of Finance, Dr Amin Adam, who iterated an absolute disagreement of the comments made by Mr Isaac Adongo.
The Minister of Finance, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam in a joint meeting involving the International Monetary Fund and the Bank of Ghana emphasized on the fact that, the challenges being faced by the Ghana Cedi is something that is being sorted out however, it can not be solved by a day therefore, the over reliance of the US dollar for business would not help in their quest to stabilize the Cedi.
According to Honourable Isaac Adongo, his comments were very patriotic and therefore, Dr Amin should work in providing solutions which would stabilize the Cedi.
“…. Of you watch that video, you would have noticed that I was admonishing the people to desist from speculative buying but if you need money or dollars to do your business, don’t rely on what the Finance Minister said to fool you to your own detriment.
“So, if you needed dollars to do your business, by all means, you should go ahead and buy them. How is this unpatriotic? Honourable Isaac Adongo said.
