Mason Rudolph was born on May 17, 1995, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, to parents Daniel and Jamie Rudolph. He attended Rock Hill High School where he played football and baseball. As a highly-rated five-star recruit by Rivals.com, Rudolph was recognized as one of the country’s top quarterback prospects.
He committed to playing college football at Oklahoma State University.During his true freshman year at Oklahoma State in 2014, Rudolph played in all 13 games, starting 10, and threw for 2,400 yards, 14 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. This performance earned him the title of Big 12 Newcomer of the Year.In 2015, Rudolph started all 13 games, achieving 3,703 passing yards and 31 touchdowns with nine interceptions. He led the Cowboys to a 10-3 record and secured a victory in the Sugar Bowl.
