Admission Requirements for 2025/2026 Colleges of Education Intake
For WASSCE Applicants:
- Credit passes (A1–C6) in six subjects: three core subjects (English Language, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies) and three relevant electives.
For SSSCE Applicants:
- Credit passes (A–D) in six subjects: three core subjects and three elective subjects relevant to the chosen programme.
Awaiting Candidates:
- Students awaiting 2025 WASSCE or TVET Certificate II results are eligible to apply.
GCE Advanced Level:
- Passes in three subjects (minimum Grade D), plus five GCE Ordinary Level passes including English, Mathematics, and a Science or Social Science subject.
ABCE Applicants:
- Must have three passes (Grade D or better) and five credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Social Studies.
TVET Certificate II Holders:
- Must have Lower Credit (C-) or better in six subjects, including three core and three relevant elective subjects.
- May also apply with a Certificate II in relevant trade areas alongside NABPTEX English and Maths or CBT qualification awarded by TEU under NTVETQF.
Foreign Applicants:
- Must refer qualifications to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for evaluation. Note: SAT, TOEFL, and similar are not accepted.
B.Ed Programmes Offered
- B.Ed in Early Grade Education
- B.Ed in Primary Education
- B.Ed in Junior High School (JHS) Education – with specialization in subjects like Science, ICT, English, Home Economics, Social Studies, etc.

How to Apply for 2025/2026 Colleges of Education Admission
Application Fee:
- GHS 350.00 (Pay at any Consolidated Bank Ghana branch)

Online Application:
- Visit: https://admission.coeportal.edu.gh
- Use the PIN and Serial Number from your payment to complete the application form.
Submission:
- Print your completed application form
- Attach a passport-sized photo and copies of results slips
- Submit via EMS to the principal of your first-choice college
Important Guidelines:
- Select your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice colleges carefully.
- Choose a Ghanaian language offered in your preferred college.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Applicants will receive SMS updates on the status of their applications.
