Ghanaian Chef Ebenezer Smith has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. He announced his achievement on his Facebook account on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, after completing a staggering 802 hours and 25 minutes of cooking.

Chef Smith began his record-breaking attempt in March 2024, ultimately cooking for over a month. The cook-a-thon kicked off on March 5 with a star-studded lineup of performers, including Praye Tietia, Yaw Tog, Amerado, Kofi Jamar, and Asakaa Boys.

Throughout this extraordinary challenge, many celebrities, including Nana Ama McBrown, Clemento Suarez, Kwaku Manu, SDK, and OB Amponsah, visited the Amadia Shopping Centre at Spintex to show their support. The event was sponsored by the Amadia Shopping Centre, where the marathon took place.
