Election 2024: Napo poised to aid NPP retain power as the running mate

Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh accept to partner Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as his running mate heading into the 2024 December 7th polls.

The National Council of the New Patriotic Party has expressed an unwavering endorsement of the appointment of Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the running mate of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia which was declared by the party on Thursday, 4th July, 2024.

Further, the Energy Minister acknowledged the fact that, his appointment as the running mate increases his responsibilities and therefore, he is set to live up to billing with regards to him positioning himself always at the disposal of the Flag-bearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in order to serve that party in all honesty and for the New Patriotic Party to achieve their aim of continuing their tenure of office under the leadership of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

More so, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh who is popularly known as Napo appreciated the immense support of the President, H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and the entire members of the New Patriotic Party.

Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh in his acceptance speech vowed to share his transformative ideas with his boss, His Excellency the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and promised to be committed to the Party’s quest to make history in Ghana’s political terrene as they seek to retain political power for three consecutive terms.

“As I assume the role of running mate alongside my esteemed boss, H.E Dr Bawumia, I am committed to supporting him to prosecute a formidable 2024 to break the 8-year election cycle and serve our beloved country diligently. Let us work together towards a brighter future for Ghana,” Dr Matthew Opoku said.
