Highlife legend KK Fosu has addressed the backlash he received on social media for his absence at the funeral of Ghanaian blogger John Claude, held over the weekend.
John Claude tragically died in a fatal accident involving KK Fosu and Bless. Despite the incident, KK Fosu claimed on Adom TV that he did not know John Claude personally.
In a subsequent interview on Hitz FM in Accra, monitored by xorlali.com, KK Fosu expressed indifference toward John Claude’s death. He stated, “I don’t care about the death of John Claude; my life mustn’t cease because of it.”
KK Fosu also responded to criticism regarding his perceived lack of sympathy for John Claude and his family during the funeral. He stated, “I speak the truth, and you are hated for speaking the truth, but no one can do anything to me because I have God, and it’s God who provides for me.”
He continued, “I can choose to perform and earn my money regardless of John Claude’s death. That’s not what will feed my family. So what does my absence at the TGMA have to do with John Claude? I was in the hospital, which is why I didn’t attend the funeral. Just because John Claude is dead doesn’t mean my life should stop.”
KK Fosu’s remarks have sparked further debate on social media, with opinions divided over his stance on the situation.
