The WhatsApp app is unavailable, affecting millions of users. Users are unable to send or receive text messages, as well as make voice and video calls. Text messages could not be sent by users.
Meta’s popular instant messaging app is reportedly experiencing issues. According to Josh Breckman, a spokesperson for Meta, the company is aware of the problem.
The outage was felt in many parts of the world, and the outage tracking website DownDetector recorded a spike in the number of problems at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Meta has yet to issue a statement regarding the outage.
“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible,” he said.
