Mwizukanji is a well-known actress and social media influencer in Zambia. She has gained fame through interviews posted on her Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube profiles.
In the early hours of today, Kidist Kifle issued a public apology to Mwizukanji for the negative remarks she had previously made about her husband’s ex-girlfriend, who is also the mother of his children. Mwizukanji, in addition to being Yo Maps’ ex, is the mother of Kidist Kifle’s children.
Kidist humbly requested Mwizukanji’s forgiveness and asked for the opportunity to become a stepmother to Bukata, Mwizukanji’s daughter from her relationship with Yo Maps. Mwizukanji agreed to this request and expressed her willingness to allow this relationship to grow.
Kidist explained that her primary wish is for her daughter, who shares the same father, to have the chance to build a sisterly bond with Bukata. She expressed hope that the children, despite their complicated family situation, would grow up as if they were true sisters.
In a related statement, Yo Maps requested that Mwizukanji refrain from sharing anything regarding their child on social media. This request came after Mwizukanji posted concerns about her daughter’s well-being, suggesting that the child might be at risk of malnutrition due to her father’s lack of proper care.
Mwizukanji responded to the apology in a brief message on Facebook. She expressed her appreciation for the gesture from Kidist and Yo Maps, wishing them happiness and success in their relationship. She wrote, “We accept your apology and wish you all the best in everything you pursue. Life is one big lesson, and we never stop learning.”
She also took the opportunity to make arrangements with Kidist to look after Bukata the following weekend, humorously adding that she needed some time to enjoy herself.
Her post concluded with a thoughtful reflection on forgiveness, stating that “forgiveness brings inner peace” and that she was ready to move forward from the negativity. “The final chapter of this difficult journey has come to an end, and I am turning the page,” she wrote.
Mwizukanji wrapped up her message with good wishes for the couple, adding a lighthearted note that if her daughter starts feeling emotional, Yo Maps could always sing her the song “Komando” to cheer her up.
