Kevin Wise dzifefo Kwame Anyomi who is known as “Kels DPoet” was born on the 3rd of April 1995 in Ho in the Volta region to Mr and Mrs Anyomi.
His early childhood education took place in the very lands he was birthed until 2003 when the family moved to the greater Accra precisely East Legon due to job demand on the part of his father.
That enabled him to be enrolled in a private school where he successfully wrote his Basic education certificate examination (BECE) in the year 2009.
He then went forth to Presbyterian boys’ secondary school and graduated successfully in 2013. It was back in high school that he joined the debate and writers club where he won a poetry competition between its members.
That was when the idea of writing was birthed. With the help of his patron, he was choosen to represent the school at various national debate and also part of the team that reached the finals of the 2012 NSMQ.
In the year 2013, few months to his WASSCE , he represented his school on the 53rd national high school debate competition, which he lead his school through till he lost to Pope John’s high school in the grand finalle.
He again had the chance to perform his first ever poetry titled “a letter to Dr Kwame Nkrumah ” at the national theatre for the annual GAWBOFEST which saw the likes of the then vice president His Excellency John dramani mahama launching his book and also famed poets like Nana asaase, sir blakk ,etc.
With this experience ,whiles out of high school, he took that time to write short prose and lots of poems. With the help of his friends ,he launched his first poetry collection entitled “chronicles of a blackman”.
In 2016 , just a year after enrolling in the tertiary. He joined a writer group on Legon campus and they meet on several o Saturday to writer and rehearse various poems.
This gave the group an opportunity to be invited by then Minister fro creative arts “Dzifa Gomashie” to perform on two occasions at the national theatre thus the Ghana cultural day and the world Art day.
The group was again invited by Prof lade worsonu to perform some of his poetry at the dubios memorial centre and again travelled with him to Cape coast to perform his writings on the world poetry day.
The success and dynamism of the team were widely spread and this earned them an invitation to work with Dr Agambilla. Leading the team with their performance, Kels had his first nomination at the annual Ghana tertiary awards as the “most influential student poet”.
He was again awarded in early 2017 at the annual “SRC awards” as the “Best writer of the year”.
The forthcoming years were aligned with awards and recognition such as :
2016 : Ghana Tertiary Awards (Most influential Student poet)
2017 – SRC awards (Best Writer of the year)
2018 : Youth Excellence Awards (Best youth writer)
2019 : West African Citizens Awards Nigeria (Best writer in west africa)
2019 : Ghana lifestyle Awards (Discovery Poet of the year)

2020: COPO awards ( Best New Poet)
2020: Acafest (Rwanda) – (Poet Of the year)
