Nigerian-based Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Charles Chibuezechukwu popularly known in the entertainment circle as Crayon, has provided details on his humble beginning.
In a recent interview with Glitch Africa, the MAVIN Music signee revealed that he and his family of nine lived in a crampled single room in a face-to-face apartment located in Orile, a town located in Lagos State.
Providing details on how they managed to survive while growing up, he stated that he mother sold fruits in the local area to support the family financially.
During the interview, the super talented Nigerian singer delved deep into his debut album titled “Trench To Triumph”, explaining how it serves as a reflection of his personal journey in life.
He further disclosed that the album is a sonic reflection of his own life experiences, starting from those days he used to live in a ghetto with his family where they all share limited space in a single room apartment.
According to him, his album is a narration of how he moved from living in a single room with his family to being in a triumphant era now that he has made it in the music industry.
