Counselor Edem Adofoli has advised Dancehall artist Shatta Wale to include a mental health professional on his management team to help manage his emotions better. Concerns arose after the artist’s recent public outbursts. Adofoli noted that Shatta Wale’s emotional reactions suggest a lack of emotional control, and having a professional on his team could be very beneficial.
Adofoli commented, ““Those close to him and on his team likely avoid saying things that might upset him,… “That’s why having a counselor, therapist, or psychologist on his team would be beneficial.”
Meanwhile, the Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD) has criticized Shatta Wale for mocking fellow musician Stonebwoy’s disability. During a performance at Sallahfest in Abeka last week, Shatta Wale insulted Stonebwoy for his absence at the event, suggesting it was a deliberate move to sideline him.
In the video that has since gone viral, Shatta Wale made derogatory comments about Stonebwoy’s disability, saying, “You are a bad person; that is why God made you disabled. Don’t try to fight an able person.”
