On the 11th May the anticipated VGMA experience Concert  show came off at the Independence square. The show was hosted by Abeiku Santana,which had amazing performances featuring Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Samini, Kwesi Arthur, Tinny, Akesse Brempong, Adina, Kula Gh and more.


The VGMA eXperience Concert, which aim to give fans and nominees the opportunity to engage ahead of the main awards night on May 18, was the perfect precursor to the anticipated ceremony.Here are some must-see pictures of the VGMA experience concert

Yes, music is magical and relieving; it adds passion to life and gives it new meaning on a day-to-day basis. That was exactly what happened at Alliance Francaise last night 23/2/2019. It was heated up with what i defined to be event orgasm.

“Wow, she’s amazing, i love her, she’s so energetic, her melodies are outside the box” and many positive remarks were bubbling out the lips of most patrons who witnessed bankable global versatile act Lamisi perform live all songs on her debut album – Bright Side.

She gave value to music by magnifying her office of performance. Most people didn’t know she was a skillful dancer till yesterday.

The night was blessed with series of fun packed surprises and colorful emotions; President of GHAMRO Rex Omar didn’t just grace the venue to add contrast, he was actually the first to purchase hard copy of Brighter Side album for Gh¢ 1000, followed by other specials guests and fans.

Celebrated high life gem Ben Brako and Mr. Kiki Banson owner of Patch Bay Band were there. International publicist, A & R, author and brand geek Elorm Beenie registered his presence. Renowned poet Nana Asaase delivered a mind blowing spoken words craft about Lamisi.

Getting to the end of the event Lamisi pulled out legendary Atongo known for his mega hit song “In Heaven There’s No Beer” on stage to perform. Drawing down the curtains, Highgrade forwarder Samini was there as a guest but ended up mounting the stage to shower his blessings on her by freestyling her name on one of his major hit songs “Where My Baby Dey” which the both performed together. Patch Bay Band was on point like laser, whiles the technical side production; stage set up, lightening and sound was solid as rock.

Samini to be honoured at Northern Excellence Awards 2019

The “UNTAMED” King, Samini, is listed among other influential persons from Northern Ghana for this year’s edition of the Northern Excellence Awards (NExA) 2019.

Samini will be honoured on the night of the Awards on March 6, 2019 in Tamale, Northern Region. Although born in Accra, Emmanuel Andrews Samini, who’s showbiz name is Samini has thoroughly represented and defended his Dagaati roots for the most part of his entire career, on both local and international platforms.

Among all his 7 released studio albums, the celebrated Ghanaian Musician has always highlighted his origin in each of the catalogues, with the latest being “Mokpiera”, a very touching song he did for his latest Billboard.com chart-topping record “Untamed”.

The word “Mokpiera” is a local Dagaati parlance which means “Traveller”, it was featured in a recent interview Samini did with VOA on “African Beat” with the Legendary Host, David Vandy. Samini’s “UNTAMED”, a 22-tracked album won “Album Of The Year” 2018 on Reggaeville.com and stayed at Number 8 position on Billboard.com for a week in the “TOP 10 Reggae Albums” Category. Samini is signed to Africa 1 Media in Ghana.

The maiden edition of the Northern Excellence Awards (NExA) is set to recognize distinguished Individuals and Organizations who are significantly contributing to the socio-economic development of the Northern Ghana. The Northern Excellence Awards is an initiative of Celebrities Charity Development Foundation (CeChaDeF), a Non-Governmental Organisation.

The maiden edition of NExA ceremony will be held at Global Dream Hotel on Independence Day, March 6, 2019.

In an interview with the media, Board Chairman of the Northern Excellence Awards, Mr. Abdul Latif Alhassan revealed the development-oriented merit awards scheme seeks to recognize hardworking individuals, brands and organizations like Entrepreneurs, Corporate Institutions, Politicians, Social and Humanitarian Organizations amongst others who are excelling in their various field of endeavours.

Mr. Abdul Latif mentioned that the Northern Excellence Awards 2019 will honour and celebrate more deserving individuals in different disciplines.

Samini pulls over 700 audience at #UNTAMED Launch USA, records massive success – Photos

Samini’s USA album launch for “UNTAMED” scored a whooping number of over 700 audience at the Seattle Arts Centre on Thursday night, February 7, 2019.

Simon Okelo of One Vibe Africa, partners of the event who also hosted Samini for this year’s “Kijiji Night” was overwhelmed at the great attendance. He lauded Samini heavily in a series of tweets. One Vibe Africa are also organizers of Madaraka Festival, a yearly music & arts festival in Seattle, Washington, USA.

The night saw a launch of Samini’s “UNTAMED” Album CD with new set of merchandise and the other part saw him perform at the Kijiji Night — both events hosted at the same venue. Samini serenaded audience to songs from his album and sold hard copies too.

Samini did a first launch for the album in Ghana in December 2018, at a press and industry sitting before the main release on his birthday on December 22, 2018.

Samini is tipped to embark on a global tour with the album soon. This follows early successes recorded by the album in January 2019. “Untamed”, his 7th studio album entered Billboard.com “Top 10 Reggae Albums” on January 1 and also won “Album Of The Year” on Reggaeville, Europe’s biggest Reggae/Dancehall Network, making Samini the first African Musician to win that category the first time in 7 years the award was instituted.

This year has just got bigger and brighter for very own Samini. The Gh music industry is blessed to have the winner of 7th annual Reggaeville Poll to be a Ghanaian. The UNTAMED is Samini’s 7th Album and was released in 2018. The tracks on the Untamed album are all reggae songs.
