Rema, a guest performer for the evening, electrified the audience with his rendition of the global hit song “Calm Down” as the crowd enthusiastically cheered him on. The ceremony saw Lionel Messi, the Argentine captain, secure his eighth Ballon d’Or win, extending his record.
