The Greater Accra Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Anthony Nukpenu has asserted that it will be extremely difficult for Nana Addo to reshuffle appointees at a time like this.
Providing reasons for his assertion, the NDC member said a lot of NPP members will reject an appointment from the President when given the chance to serve in any capacity.
Speaking in a recent interview on Asempa FM, Mr. Nukpenu stated that nobody will accept to be part of a government that has failed woefully if that person truly has Ghana’s well-being at heart.
He further disclosed that anyone who will express keen interest in accepting an appointment from the President will most likely be a golddigger.
According to Nukpenu, there is nothing new any appointee can do to salvage the situation of the economy because according to him, any appointment made at this time can be considered an ‘injury time’ appointment.
That’s to say any appointment made at this time is being made in the dying minutes of the government’s tenure.
Mr. Anthony Nukpenu’s recent comments come after the General Secretary of the NPP, Mr. Justin Kodua requested for a reshuffle of appointees as a means of the government’s productive levels.
