The current Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has stated that he is aware Ghana lacks an individualized credit scoring system.
However, the Nana-led government is working on changing the situation for the better.
Speaking at the recent edition of the Ghana Club 100 Awards, he stated that unlike other developed countries, Ghana lacks an effective credit system and as such workers are compelled to rely on paychecks for the rest of month.
Adding to this, he stated that his government in partnership with the Central Bank of Ghana is working on Introducing an individualized credit scoring system that allow people to get easy access to credit and loans using the Ghana card.
