The wedding, which had been planned for late November, was postponed until after the NDC’s National Delegates Congress, where the groom was running for re-election as National Communications Officer.
Sammy Gyamfi’s wedding was attended by John Mahama, Ofosu Ampofo, Asiedu Nketiah, and many other NDC luminaries.
Former President John Mahama, former NDC Chairman Ofosu Ampofo, and newly elected NDC Chairman Asiedu Ntekiah all attended Sammy Gyamfi’s wedding ceremony to show their support.
Sammy Gyamfi, NDC’s National Communications Director, married his fiancée Mrs Irene Gyamfi today in a traditional ceremony.
Former President John Mahama, Sammy Gyamfi’s godfather, was present to show his support for his devoted son.
At the marriage ceremony, former NDC Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and newly elected Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah sat together.
Other NDC stalwarts were present to support their national communications director. Sammy Gyamfi has a son who turned ten this year, but he has not been married to the boy’s mother since his birth in 2012. A Pastor will bless the couple in a simple ceremony at the event, which is strictly by invitation only.
