The Member of Parliament for the Nhyiaeso constituency, Hon. Stephen Amoah has stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its members are acting as if Ghana was at its best when they were in power eight years ago.

According to the NPP parliamentary representative, the NDC, which drove Ghana into a state of chaos, has no moral right to Ghana’s deteriorating economic situation.

In a recent address on the floor of Parliament, the NPP bigwig said the NDC is suddenly pushing everything and making it appear as if what the country is experiencing now has never happened before.

In respect to the recent criticisms made by the NDC concerning the taxes imposed by the Nana-led administration, Hon. Stephen Amoah expressed his astonishment while stating that he never knew taxing citizens to develop the same environment that would benefit the poor and everyone along the social stratification defines a deplorable economy.

Adding to this, he recounted how the NDC added 26 different taxes to the components of their budget made between the year 2014 and 2016.

He reiterated that the same government that plunged Ghana into a situation where citizens had to go through a power outage of about four years is now behaving like the country was in perfection condition before they left.
