The RCMP issued a dangerous person alert for all of Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba following early-Sunday stabbings in the James Smith Cree Nation in Saskatchewan and the nearby community of Weldon.
Police reported a stabbing spree in 13 different locations that left 10 people dead and at least 15 people hospitalized at a news conference at 3:40 p.m. CST.
Rhonda Blackmore, the commanding officer of the Saskatchewan RCMP, informed reporters that there might be further injured patients who traveled independently to various hospitals.
