Shania Twain is a Canadian singer and songwriter who was born on August 28, 1965. She has sold over 100 million records, making her the best-selling female artist in country music history and one of the most successful musicians of all time. Her popularity earned her several titles, including “Queen of Country Pop.” Billboard named her the top country-pop crossover star of the 1990s.

Twain, who grew up in Timmins, Ontario, began singing and writing songs at a young age before signing with Mercury Nashville Records in the early 1990s. When her self-titled debut studio album was released in 1993, it was a commercial flop. Carrie Ann Edwards is the sister of Shania Twain and also the daughter of Sharon and Clarence Edwards. She is also the adopted daughter of Jerry Twain who married her mother after she separated from Clarence Edwards. Carrie Ann has two stepbrothers called Mark and Darryl Twain.
