Davido, Asake (alongside Olamide), Ayra Starr, and Burna Boy find themselves nominated for Grammy awards in the Best African Music Performance category.
The nominated tracks include: “Amapiano” by ASAKE & Olamide, “City Boys” by Burna Boy, “UNAVAILABLE” by Davido feat. Musa Keys, “Rush” by Ayra Starr, and “Water” by Tyla.
Davido’s other nominations are; ‘Timeless’ – Best Global Music Album, and ‘Feel’ – Best Global Music Performance.
Burna Boy’s other nominations include; ‘Sitting On Top of the World’ featuring 21 Savage – Best Melodic Rap, ‘I Told Them’ – Best Global Music Album, and ‘Alone’ – Best Global Music Performance.
2024 Grammy Nominations List
The 2024 Grammy nominations have been unveiled, showcasing SZA in the lead with nine nominations, including recognition for her chart-topping hit “Kill Bill” and her album “SOS.” Following closely are Phoebe Bridgers, Victoria Monét, and engineer/mixer Serban Ghenea, each earning seven nominations.
Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Jon Batiste, and Brandy Clark are also among the notable six-time nominees. While no one secured nominations in all of the “Big Four” categories, Swift, Batiste, Cyrus, SZA, and Rodrigo have earned nods in the “Big Three” this year. The 66th Grammy will be held on February 4, 2024 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
