The remains of the late Constable General, Emmanuel Osei has been laid to rest today, Saturday.
The burial service took place at Nyanyano Kakraba School Park in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
Parents and other relatives of the late Emmanuel Osei could not hold back their tears when they file past his body.
Others were seen rolling on the ground as they came face to face with the remains of their beloved.
Some state officials such as Interior Minister Ambrose Dery, members of the Ghana Police Service and sympathisers were all clad in red and black to commiserate with the bereaved family.
Also, personnel from the Police Service came in their numbers to bid farewell to their former colleague.
In their own way, they celebrated the life of Emmanuel Osei.
The young officer, aged 25, was reportedly killed on Monday, June 24, while on duty. He was escorting a bullion van commuting an undisclosed amount of money from Adedenkpo, a suburb of James Town in Accra when a group of armed robbers attacked the van.
He, together with a hawker by name, Afua Badu, were pronounced dead at the spot.
Since then, the family of the late officer who would have turned 26 on June 25, have wallowed in sorrow despite assurance from the Police Service that the perpetrators of such heinous act will be brought to book.
