His Excellency the vice president Dr Mahamudu Bawumia secured an overwhelming victory in the Npp presidential flag bearer elections conducted in the united states of America.

The New Patriotic Party on November 1,2023 in the USA held their elections involving four aspirants who had interest in leading the party for the general elections. Four of the flag bearer hopefuls were Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Hon Kennedy Agyapong, Hon Afriyie Akoto and Hon Addae Nimo.

However, the two hundred and seventy delegates exercised their franchise in which Dr Mahamudu Bawumia had 208 votes, Hon Kennedy Agyapong had 66 votes while Addae Nimo ad Hon Afriyie Akoto shared one vote respectively.

These results were released by the New Patriotic Party in a press statement which indicated that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia had secured a phenomenal results making him to stand tall among his competitors in the Npp-USA flag-bearership race.

The general internal elections to appoint flag bearer for the New Patriotic Party would take place on Saturday November 4th,2023.
