The Electricity Company of Ghana(ECG) has stated that its offices will not be open for credit purchases hence customers should ensure they buy enough credit to see them through the Christmas and New Year holidays.

In observance of the statutory public holidays during the Christmas and New Year, the Electricity Company of Ghana stated that it will not be open for business on the 25th and 26th of December, 2023 and on the 1st of January, 2024.

They added that though offices will be closed for business in observance of the statutory holidays, customers can still access the services of the electricity company via its digital platforms.

Usually, the issue of getting electricity credits for usage during the season of Christmas becomes a bit difficult due to the closure of ECG offices during these periods.

In light of this factuality, there are some electricity prepaid card users who are compelled to spend the night without electricity until offices are back in operation after the Christmas holidays.

In line with the recent communique issued by the ECG, it is most likely customers will purchase credits ahead of time to avoid the inconvenience of having to sleep in the dark during the coming holidays.
