Ghana Most Beautiful 2023 Winner List. Who won the Ghana Most Beautiful 2023? The representative from the Volta Region in this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful, Selorm Magdalene Gafah, has emerged as the winner of the competition. Selorm, known popularly during the 13-week reality show, secured the crown in the finals held at the National Theatre on Sunday, October 8, surpassing competition from Greater Accra Region’s Naa Ayeley, who became the first runner-up.
Bono Region’s Kwartemaa claimed the third position, while Northern Region’s Nurah and Upper East Region’s Aduanige secured the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
The grand finale at the National Theatre was a thrilling event, with all five finalists delivering exceptional performances to an enthusiastic audience.
Aduanige initiated the show with a presentation highlighting the tourism potential of the Upper East Region, earning praise from Judge Janet Sunkwa-Mills.
Selorm, the eventual winner, showcased the rich cultural and traditional heritage of the Volta Region. She mentioned significant personalities from the region who have made a lasting impact on the country, including late former President Jerry John Rawlings, late playwright Efo Kodjo Mawugbe, and late singer Ephraim Amu.
In the question-and-answer session, Selorm GMB 2023 shared her perspective on the government’s Free SHS Policy, applauding its efforts to alleviate the financial burden on parents and provide access to education for all Ghanaian students, regardless of their status. However, she noted the need for more infrastructure and funding to enhance the program.
With the judges holding 60 percent of the voting power and the audience and viewers having 40 percent, Selorm was announced as the 2023 GMB queen. She is the first representative of the Volta Region to win the crown since 2012 when Emefa Adeti claimed victory.
As the winner, Selorm Gmb 2023 will receive a brand new car, a cash prize of GH¢15,000, a Camon 20 brand new phone from Tecno, GH¢5,000 worth of products from the company, and an all-expense-paid trip to Dubai courtesy of Global Wings Travel and Tour.
Other notable performances during the event included Nurah, representing the Northern Region, who was impressed with her bicycle-riding presentation, highlighting the cultural heritage and tourist sites of the region. Greater Accra’s Naa Ayeley showcased the Otofo rites and emphasized the warmth and hospitality of the region. Bono Region’s Kwartemaa’s eloquent performance and traditional fire display garnered much praise. The night was further enriched by performances from singers Sefa and Dr. Drew, captivating the audience.
