Highly acknowledged Ghanaian Pharmacist, Dr. Kwame Asiedu Sarpong has argued that Ghanaians no longer have trust in Dr Mahamudu Bawumia anymore.
According to him, the current Vice President has lost credibility and as such he would advise him to try and restore some of his credibility by going in for a credible politician as his running mate ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
Adding to this, he said just like Nana Addo, Bawumia has credibility issues and in line with this fact, he would have to redeem himself by selecting a running mate who is noted for some of credibility.
Explaining further, he said the current NPP flagbearer should consider choosing a running mate who is not well-known in the political scene because he(Bawumia) had no issues surrounding his selection as running mate when Nana Addo chose him to be his running mate.
In line with this factual assertion, he has advised Bawumia to adopt the same strategy that Nana Addo used in selecting him as his running mate seven years ago because Ghanaians have suddenly lost trust in him.
Furthermore, Dr. Asiedu said the main reason why the NPP has given Dr. Bawumia time to select his running mate is because the party has violated its own constitution in selecting a flagbearer.
As such, he feels Dr. Bawumia also has the right to violate the constitution of the party in selecting a running mate.
