Outspoken Ghanaian actress and social media influencer, Afia Schwarzenegger has advised John Dramani Mahama not to choose Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as his running mate for next year’s presidential election.
According to Afia, the NDC will lose the forthcoming election if Mahama decides to settle for the same running mate he chose for the previous election.
Though she didn’t provide any additional information on who should be selected as running mate for the NDC flagbearer, she spoke against the decision of choosing Jane Nana Opoku Agyemang as running mate for the second.
Despite speaking strongly against Jane Nana Agyemang’s selection as running mate, Afia Schwarzenegger failed to give any reason why she feels Jane isn’t fit for the position.
Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang was selected as running mate for the New Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2020 presidential election after John Mahama took up the flagbearership to lead the party against Nana Addo Dankwah who was then the flagbearer of the NPP.
Though John Mahama hasn’t come out to provide any details on who his running mate for the 2024 election will be, most of his associates and supporters of the party are anticipating for a change, considering his inability to win the 2020 election after choosing Nana Opoku Agyemang’s as his running mate.
