Award-winning Ghanaian hiplife musician, Reginald Yaw Asante Osei popularly known as Reggie Rockstone has advised Ghanaians to make ‘Waakye’ a prioritize meal instead of claiming supremacy over Ghana being the home of delicious jollof rice.
He further disclosed that, instead of fighting Nigeria and Senegal over jollof rice, a meal which originates from Senegal, it’s more prudent to prioritize Waakye which originates from Ghana.
According to Reggie, Ghanaians cannot continue to fight Nigerians over who makes the most delicious jollof rice when the meal actually originates from Senegal.
He reiterated that Ghanaians have neglected ‘Waakye’, which originally belongs to Ghana and are now fighting Nigeria over jollof rice, a meal which belongs to Senegal.
In a recent interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based Property FM, the talented Ghanaian rapper said looking at the features and special effects derived from Waakye, it can be concluded that jollof rice is nowhere near it.
However, Ghanaians have neglected it and are seriously fighting Nigeria over jollof rice, a meal that doesn’t even belong to Ghanaians.
