Gabby Otchere-Darko finally gives his response to the expose the law maker, Samuel Okudzeto made some few weeks past titled’The kitchen scandal’.
Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa took to the public domain on the 1st August 2023 detailing a dubious GH¢187 million transaction between government and a private company who’s legal practitioner is lawyer Gabby Otchere-Darko. Hon Okudzeto believes the deal is not securing any value for money for the tax payer.
Lawyer Gabby Otchere-Darko responded to the claims by Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa yesterday, 12 August, 2023 on his social media page:
“If there is one thing I am grateful to Okudzeto for is for bursting the bubble of “Prime Minister”. I am that “influential” and yet I cannot for over 2yrs get a man I am very, very close to, the Finance Minister, to agree to even sit to negotiate to pay my client even when the words of the contract favour my client’s case! Yes, since 2020, Ken Ofori-Atta and his office have never once agreed to sit down with lawyers of the client to negotiate the arrears owed. Not once.
” He simply refuses to accept liability. And, the evidence of MoF’s non-cooperation is all in the documents you generously released. You have, indeed, managed to attack your own party’s propaganda that the govt is about family and friends conspiring always to cut deals against the interest of the state.
Gabby Otchere-Darko urge the citizenry to take a second look at the contract, taking into consideration the sum total of the expenditure.
“I will plead with people to take their time and analyse properly the sum total of the excellent work you have done to show to the country that it is really not like the propaganda portrays. That getting MoF to pay up even when they are wrong is not a walk in a family park. I am grateful, honourable! I am truly grateful. You have done more than what any party communicator has managed to do in defending the family. We are grateful!”
