Jay-Z was born on 4th December 1969 in New York City, United States. Jay-Z was raised by his single mother, Gloria Ca and grew up in Marcy Projects in New York City.
Jay-Z attended Eli Whitney High School in Brooklyn, New York. He later dropped out of high school to pursue his career in music.
