Kenny Blaq is a Nigerian stand-up comedian who was born by the name Otolorin Kehinde Peter. Kenny Blaq was born on the 30th of September, 1992 in the Ejigbo Lagos state of Nigeria. Kenny Blaq was born into the family of Elder Moses and Eunice Otolorin. He has a twin sister who goes by the name Taiwo Otolorin. He was trained as a presenter at the FRCN training school-in Lagos after having a stunt with SMA FM, a college community-based radio station.
Kenny Blaq Career
Kenny Blaq began his comedy career in 2008. He had his first stage appearance as a stand-up comedian at a rally titled “Miss Ejigbo” in August 2008. He also appeared as a stand-up comedian at the Calabar Carnival in 2011. At the Indigo O2 on 30 September 2018, Blaq had his first major headlined international event, titled “Kenny Blaq ‘State of Mind'”. Blaq appeared as ” Indaba X; The laughing Leopard Comedy event”, which took place at Royal Festival Hall.
Kenny Blaq was recognized in 2018 as one of the 100 most influential youths in Africa and, in 2020, he received the Ooni Youth Royal Award Kenny Blaq and SMADE Entertainment teamed up to present the “Kenny Blaq: State of Mind” Comedy Show which had successfully made its way down to Nigeria from London.
Kenny Blaq and his crew made their first tertiary invasion at Federal Unversity of Technology Owerri before making their way down to the cradle of Yorubaland, Ile-Ife, and particularly Obafemi Awolowo University Campus alias ” Great Ife” on Thursday 19th March which was a total shutdown. His show The Oxymoron of Kenny Blaq won Best Comedy Show at the 2017 and 2018 Naija 102.3 FM Comedy Awards.
