Anyone interested in booking Stonebwoy for a show should expect to pay him more than they did previously. According to the Bhim Nation President, his new deal with Universal Music Group has improved the value of his brand.
Speaking during a press conference held at the Movenpick Hotel on Thursday, May 5, 2022, he stated the media should forgive him if he becomes complacent in the future because he has worked hard to get to where he is now. He also stated that his fees had increased by 50%.
“Right now, I’m under a lot of stress.” I have a lot on my plate. Only my wife will message me and will contact me at the appropriate moment. It’s all about work. If you know anybody around that you want to reach out to, you can reach out to them. They will find a way to get you to me. But the price is a 50% increment”.
He joked that the charges had risen as a result of the e-levy. On May 3, 2022, the Universal Music Group (UMG) label divisions Def Jam Recordings, 0207 Def Jam, and Def Jam Africa released Stonebwoy’s first single ‘Therapy.’
This follows their signing with Stonebwoy, one of Ghana’s top artists, to their label. According to executives at Universal Music Group, they have a deal in place to produce three of Stonebwoy’s albums, subject to extensions.
