Popular Nollywood star Sam Obiago, also known as Daddy Sam is dead.
Nigerian actor, filmmaker, TV personality, and movie producer Sam Obiago who is widely known as Daddy Sam passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. The death of the actor was announced by Destiny Etiko who is also a Nollywood actress in her post on her Instagram page as she posted the actor with a mourning caption.
Destiny Etiko posted on her Instagram page stating “Nooooooooooo daddy sam” with a crying and heartbroken emoji.

Sam Obiago Biography
Sam Obiago who is popularly known as daddy Sam was born on September 25 and he hails from Delta State, Nigeria. He completed his elementary school education in Asaba, Delta State in the south southern part of Nigeria, and acquired his first school leaving certificate.
He then migrated to Lagos State in the southwestern part of Nigeria for his secondary school education and acquired his West Africa Senior School Certificate. He then acquires a Diploma in mass communication from the Institute of Management and Technology(IMT) in Enugu.
In the Federal University of Technology Akure in the Ondo State in the southwestern part of Nigeria, he acquired his Bachelor’s Degree in mass communication and a Master’s Degree in mass communication as well.
Career
He had a career in the banking sector before he made a big switch into Bollywood. Sam Obiago was the Managing Director and CEO of FINcraft.He also worked for Ecobank ING PLC as well as Access Bank. Sam Obiago has featured in many Nigerian movies of which some are Gifted, Royal turning point, Royal appointment, Altar of love, Battle of Kings, One Night Stand, Throne of Fire, Drunk Princess, Village Runs.
Cause Of His Death
According to one of his friends, He has been I’ll for a while now. So on the 22nd of December 2021, he started feeling very ill and he was rushed to the hospital at midnight. He gave up in the early hours of 23 December 2021″.
