One month after his birth, the name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s second child has been revealed. The Blast was able to obtain a copy of the birth certificate for the couple’s new son, who they have named Riot Rose Mayers. The birth certificate also noted that the baby was delivered at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles on August 1. The rapper, 34, and the singer-turned-beauty mogul, 35, seem to have started a tradition of giving their kids names that start with the letter “R.”
The couple gave birth to RZA Athelston Mayers, who was named in honour of the leader of the Wu-Tang Clan, in May 2022. According to rumours, the name of their unborn child may be a reference to A$AP Rocky’s recent song “Riot,” which was released in July and featured Pharrell Williams. When she was seen rubbing her stomach on stage during her 2023 Super Bowl halftime show performance in February, Rihanna revealed that she was expecting her second child. Many onlookers had speculated that she was expecting at the time.
After their son’s birth was reported last month, sources told Entertainment Tonight that the new parents would “spend the early days of parenthood out of the public eye and won’t make any immediate plans to debut the new baby”.
