He started his football career by playing junior football for his community but at the age of 15 he was brought to Europe by Torino F.C. in 1991 to start his profession.
After 2 years Samuel Osei Kuffour joined FC Bayern Munich in 1993 from the Italian club. After a season-long loan spell with 1. FC Nürnberg in the second division, he made his breakthrough with the Bavarians.
Kuffour played 11 seasons at Bayern Munich, lifting him from the youth team to become a first-team member. “I thought every footballer is piercing the eyes so I can also do the same thing but my mother was not happy with that and I regret that.”
