Miss Harriet Lamptey, winner of United Nations award and international model has advised young volunteers to look at the long term benefits of their activities instead of focusing solely on immediate gains.

She said this at the graduation ceremony of the Nationwide Fire Academy, the Nation’s first youth fire service volunteer group, at the colorful event in Accra. The event saw the passing out of 200 fire trainees.

In her goodwill speech to the graduands, she urged them to work as a team, and embrace their individual differences. She also encouraged them to treat their task as their service to humanity and give it their best and all.
