The NPP Chairman for the Essikado Ketan constituency, Mr. Fredrick Afful has likened the 2024 presidential election to the Grande finale of the famous European league named the UEFA Champions League.
Comparing the election’s competitiveness to that of the UEFA Champions League final, the NPP representative for the Essikado Ketan constituency attributed Bawumia to Manchester City attacker Erling Haaland.
For those who have less idea who Haaland is, the young player is currently one of the best players in Manchester City having scored on numerous occasions for his club including in the finals of the recent Champions League which featured Manchester City and Inter Milan.
In line with the amazing football talent Haaland possesses, Mr. Afful compared Bawumia to Haaland giving him a depiction of a political adept and the Vice President who possesses special qualities that makes him different from the other candidates who will be vying for the presidential position next year.
According to Mr. Frederick Afful, similar to how Haaland contributed towards Manchester City’s success in both the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League, Bawumia is the only candidate who has the capability of helping the New Patriotic Party to retain power in 2024.
He stated that looking at the amazing exploits of Erling Haaland in the recent UEFA Champions League, he believes Bawumia is the Haaland of NPP and he is confident the current flagbearer of the ruling party can set the record of being the first person to break the eight for his party.
