By the time the clock struck 7 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, Afua had sung continuously for an impressive 126 hours and 52 minutes. This achievement surpasses the previous record-holder, Indian vocalist Sunil Waghmare, who achieved a 105-hour performance back in March 2012.

On Thursday, December 28, 2023, at precisely 9:10 a.m., Afua surpassed Waghmare’s milestone and continued for an additional 21 hours. Her remarkable journey began at the stroke of midnight on December 24, 2023, at Akwaaba village.
