Celebrated Ghanaian actor and singer, Kofi Adu popularly known as Agya Koo has narrated a story on how he brought his colleague movie maker, Rose Akua Ataa Mensah, otherwise known as Kyeiwaa into the movie scene.
In a recent disclosure made by Agya Koo, he stated that he met Kyeiwaa while performing at one of his concerts.
According to Agya Koo, he was extremely impressed by the performance of Kyeiwaa during the said concert and as such he decided to help her.
Adding to this, he revealed that he spoke to a few people after discovering her amazing talent and eventually got to meet her in person. However, since she had no place to sleep at that time, her fellow actress, Mercy Asiedu offered to give her a place to sleep.
He further disclosed that after being offered an abode by Mercy, they started acting together and that was how she became the famous actress most people know her to be now.
Kyeiwaa rose to fame after he became a trending topic upon playing a leading role in the movie titled “Kyeiwaa” where she was given a witchcraft role which she played perfectly.
Ever since she gained recognition for being a leading force in the Kumawood movie scene, she has been offered numerous awards and starred in a couple of movies but financially, she seemed not to have made a lot from her acting career as she made mention of the financial difficulties she had faced after the movie industry collapsed a few years back.
