Dzifa Attivor Former Transport Minister Dies At 65

According to sources, Dzifa Attivor died at the age of 65 in the late hours of Monday , November 15 at the University of Ghana Medical Centre after suffering from a short illness.

Dzifa Aku Attivor was first appointed as the Deputy Minister of Transport by the late Professor John Evans Atta Mills during his reign as president.

After the death of President Evans John Atta Mills, the former president John Dramani Mahama promoted Aku Attivor to become the Minister of Transport.

She held this position until 2015 when she resigned due to the infamous bus branding saga. Dzifa Attivor later joined the National Democratic Congress (NDC) chairmanship race in the Volta Region. She, however, lost the elections in 2018 to incumbent John Kudzo Gyapong. She had a decade earlier contested the Ho West Parliamentary Primaries.
