Economic and Organized Crime Office cautions Ghanaians not to politicize thier operations

The Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) has shared a word of caution to Ghanaians not to politicize their operations in the office. The main function of the office is to detect, investigate, prevent and prosecute all issues relating to economic and Organized crimes

Raymond Daapah Addo, who is the Board Chair of EOCO, iterated that, demonizing the office anytime government changes shouldn’t be an act, which should be encouraged. At the launch of EOCO’s five-year strategic plan in Accra, Raymond Daapah Addo emphasized that EOCO is not related o

“We should stop politicising every issue. Crime is a crime whether committed by New Patriotic Party or National Democratic Congress. If it is a crime, EOCO will go after whoever is involved without fear or favour,” he added.

Raymond Daapah iterated that EOCO remains committed to pursuing anyone involved in any activities that are illegal without fear or favor. He added, if EOCO’S operations are not politicized, the office can perform its responsibility effectively and impartially.

He reassured Ghanaians that, the office is fully committed to fighting any serious criminal act.
