The ‘Agyapade3’ document has the potential of securing the much wanted third term of administering the affairs of Ghana by a ruling government.

In a document which was titled ‘AGYAPADE3’ found it way into the public through an unknown sources however, the book contained series of chapters which provided a clear demarcation of orchestrations a group of people from the Akan ethnic group (Akyem) had penned down as procedures they were going to employ in order to secure power and govern Ghana.

The document did not fall short in discussing various key sectors of Ghana’s economy. It detailed out sectors such as:

(1) Economic And Financial Control

(2)The Political Terrain

(3) Religion and Chieftaincy

(4)The National Situation As Regards The Media Landscape

With respect to the various bulleting above, the document spelt out measures the group would employ, it significance and the benefits it would have on them as a group if they are successful, in terms of securing a prosperous presents and future generations.

Zeroing in on the blue print of the ‘Agyapade3’ document, it suggested and meted out during the 2020 general elections which permitted the continuation of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s second term of office.

In the document, the group adopted a financial goad method which seeks to aid more political actors in securing presidential tickets in order to contest and it motive is to split the to votes of the leading opposition political party.

“It is ultimately important to ensure we help reactivate and encourage the minor parties to contest. Many of their supporters have an antipathy towards the NDC. With some financial inducements to their polling agents, we could construct an understanding with them to shore up the number of Pro-NPP polling agents at the polling stations.

The group further asserted on the fact that, there will be no room for any minor political parties who does not form an undisclosed alliance with their political party in the 2020 general elections.

“It is non-negotiable to ensure that the LPG, GUM, Akua Donkor and GCPP are all cleared to contest. Depending on the outcome of our next negotiations, the following parties could be eliminated by the Electoral Commission if that fail to agree to our proposition: Marricke Kofi Game, Kofi Koranteng, Akwasi Odike of the United Progressive Party, New Vision Party, United Renaissance Partyand UFP and the others who may also file for the CPP, PNC and possibly APC. They may be allowed to contest in order to sheath the E.C and our government of any wrongdoing.”

In addition, the group utilized the existence and the essence of the National Democratic Party. The Party was formed by the founder of the National Democratic Congress’s wife, Former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings. There, the group were of the view that, in providing a presidential slot for the party, would have the ability of deriving some amount of vote from the leading opposition political party, National Democratic Congress.

“The NDP, led by Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, must be assisted to undertake it’s activities and to ensure that they file and contest the 2020 elections. It is obvious that whatever votes will be garnered by the NDP will be votes that would other wise have gone to the NDC.”

In the 2020 general elections, five political parties were disqualified. However, these parties were enlisted in the document of the group for negotiations of them forming an alliance which would propel the then current government into winning the elections.

Meanwhile, the discussion proved futile and hence, the electoral commission mysteriously found a way of slashing out these parties from participating in the 2020 presidential election.

The five disqualified Political Parties are:

(1)Mr Agyenim Boateng — United Front Party

(2)Mr Kwesi Busumbru — People’s Action Party

(3)Mr Akwasi Addai Odike — United Progressive Party

(4)Mr Kofi Koranteng — Independent

(5)Mr Kofi Gane — Independent

The Electoral Commission prior to the 2020 general elections received seventeen presidential candidates application and had disqualified five of the above candidate on the basis of ‘Technical errors’.

Does the blue print which was laid out in the state capture will document titled ‘AGYAPADE3’ still having relevance or significance in securing political power for the New Patriotic Party?

It must be noted that, the loud silence being exhibited by the media cannot be taken for granted. Going into the 2024 general elections, it is going to serve all well meaning Ghanaians who are qualified to exercise their franchise a medium to boot out the oppressors who have created artificial hardship, inflation rate are nothing to write home about, the country is currently bootlicking the International Monetary Fund and yet, a certain group in government is seeking to capture state and the fourth estate is quiet. Why should that be the case?
