A retired Commissioner of Police who goes by the name COP George Alex Mensah has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to remain vigilant and see to it that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) doesn’t win the 2024 general election.

The retired Commissioner who recently filed to contest in the parliamentary primaries for the Bekwai constituency stated unequivocally that, the NPP is the only political party that has the capability of moving the country towards a better future.

In a recent interview on Angel TV, COP Alex asserted that a victory for the NDC in the forthcoming election could result in a retrogression, making reference to the era of ‘dumsor’, the intermittent power outages that became rampant in Ghana during the previous era of the NDC.

He went on to state that if Ghanaians go to the polls and elect the NDC as the next ruling government in the 2024 election, then the country will be heading backwards.

Adding to this, COP George said if Ghanaians make the mistake of voting back NDC into the presidential office of authority, the people of Ghana will back down into a very deep pit and by the time citizens come out of this deep pit, things would have gotten worse.

In line with the issue of ‘dumsor’ which he claims drew the nation backwards, he urged citizens to vote for the NPP with indications the ruling party is the only party that can gear Ghana towards development.
