Kylian Mbappe

The star of Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappe, has addressed the criticism he has faced following his letter to the team.

The 2018 World Cup champion recently informed the team in writing that he has no plans to continue playing for them after his current contract expires in 2024.

Following widespread criticism from PSG over the player’s decision, the club has reportedly put the player up for sale this summer.

When his contract expires in June 2024, PSG does not want the former Monaco player to leave for free, and their president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is reportedly furious with the striker.

Mbappe claimed he did not anticipate receiving such venom after sending his letter.

According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe said, “Honestly, I did not think I was going to offend anyone. I only sent a letter. I didn’t know a letter could kill someone. It’s just a letter. I don’t care about the reactions.”
