The current General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fiifi Kwetey has stated that unlike the NPP, the NDC will not resort to adopting a deceptive means of winning the 2024 election.
Adding to this, Mr. Fiifi Kwetey indicated that, eight years ago, when they NPP was in opposition, they came up with so many deceptive political promises and lied to Ghanaians in order to win power.
However, after they were given the opportunity to rule the country, they failed to deliver on their promises and subjected citizens to unbearable pain and severe hardship.
Citing examples to back his claim, Mr. Kwetey said the NPP decieved Ghanaians by promising to reduce taxation and ensuring efficient economic growth when they are voted into power.
Additionally, Dr. Bawumia came out to state that the NPP led by Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo will change Ghana from importing country to a production oriented nation.
He further disclosed that, contrary to the promises they made, it can be concluded that all they said were lies. Per his disclosure, all the NPP wanted to do was to decieve citizens so they could vote for them to assume the presidential office of authority.
Distinguishing his party from the narrative, Mr. Fiifi Kwetey said the NDC is going to ensure they don’t go through that kind of deception to win power in 2024.
Mr. Kwetey stated emphatically that, the NDC is not going to throw about promises like their opponents from the NPP did some years back.
Furthermore, he stated that the NDC will never promise Ghanaians ‘heaven’, with the intention of assuming power through deceptive political promises.
