Head Pastor and Founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Mensah Otabil has underscored the perception of citizens that government should be held accountable for problem solving in the country.
In a recent address to his congregants, the famous man of God called for a change in mindset, advising citizens to also get themselves in the cause for community development and supporting projects to improve the quality of life in the country.
Adding to this, Pastor Mensah Otabil spoke about the lack of willingness on the part of private individuals to solving problems affecting the society.
Furthermore, Pastor Otabil stressed on the need for individuals and private organizations to contribute to solving problems affecting the society rather than depending solely on policies introduced by the state.
He stated emphatically that, one of the problems we have as Ghanaians is that we have made to think that government bears the sole responsibility of solving problems affecting citizens and the community.
According to him, the country lacks private companies that will see to it that certain societal issues are resolved because most citizens have the perception it is the sole responsibility of government to solve the country’s problems.
Despite advocating for citizens to join the cause for problem solving in the country, Pastor Otabil emphasized the importance of holding government accountable for their responsibilities in relation to problem solving in the country.
