His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has laid off twenty-four District Chief Executives with immediate effect
In an official letter dated 2nd February 2024, signed by the President Akufo-Addo indicated directives asking a total of 24 District Chief Executives out of their mandate as Heads of Districts with an immediate effect.
The decision was taken in respect of Article 243(3) b of the constitution and section (20) 3 (b) of the Local Government Act, 2014, (Act 936).
